Highett and Bruthen St Preschools Trivia Night Fundraiser

The Flair Event Management Team was pleased to have organised the biennial ‘Trivia Fundraiser’ for Highett and Bruthen St preschools. The event was successfully hosted at the ‘Highett Bowls Club’ on the 19th of October 2019, from 7:00pm until 10:30pm. The aim of the event was to bring together the two preschools and develop further connections between families, especially due to the changes occurring next year with Highett Preschool closing for repairs.

The event helped raise funds to build a bush kinder at Bruthen St preschool where the children can get outdoors and experience nature. The event encompassed a trivia competition, a silent auction for a variety of products/services, and a raffle drawing. The event was primarily attended by the parents and families of the children attending the preschools. Working along side our Client Sally Kenney and our Trivia Host “Seb” from Trivia Buffs, we raised a total of $3,765.50 worth of profits, which almost reached our objective of raising $4,000. These funds were completely generated from registrations and all activities included on the night. These funds will be used to fund the construction of a bush kinder at Bruthen St Preschool.

Overall, the night ran smoothly with Seb having run all games, live auctions and raffles on the night whilst keeping the audience engaged. Flair Event Management Students had successfully assembled the event from the lead up, to the day of the event- in terms of marketing the event, sponsorship, styling and theming, food catering, and more. The students worked closely and cooperated effectively as a team which resulted in an outstanding event, with all clients satisfied and attendees initiating positive feedback – with ratings no less than 4 or 5 stars.

Students felt overwhelmed with how smoothly the event ran, with one student implying that she had “felt content” and another stating this had been one of her “greatest achievements.” All team members were immensely satisfied with the final outcome, and felt a sense of relief that everything had ran accordingly.

“The planning, preparation and pressure in the lead up to the event is all worth it.” – Flair Event Management Team
